3 CARDS TRICK is the meeting between three of the most demanded improvisors in the New York avant-garde scene. Their music takes off from casual materials (covers, soundtracks, early music, original compositions) and lands in a new unknown sound territory where everything is possible. 


Marco Cappelli, Brandon Seabrook e Stomu Takeishi met back in 2015 at The Stone -  John Zorn's experimental music venue in New York -  during Marco's residency. 


Since then the trio has constantly developed its own music vision.
Back in March 2020, 3 CARDS TRICK is ready  to take off for its first European tour but - guess what - a worldwide pandemic starts... So the tour finally happened during the Fall 2021, pivoting around of the residency offered by the Centro D'Arte in Padova (Italy), who commissioned a 3 days long recording session. So here we are: SONGS is the first 3 CARDS TRICK official album.
