ARCIMUSIC is the soundtrack for the documentary "30 Anni di Cinema a Ponticelli" by Isabella Mari, produced by PARALLELO 41 PRODUZIONI (the "Film Industry Sister" of 41st PARALLEL RECORDS!).

It tells the story of ARCI MOVIE - a group of activists members of ARCI (Associazione Ricreativa Culturale Italiana: the biggest Italian non-profit association NOT linked with the Catholic Church) - and their 30 years long fight in Ponticelli, Naples.

Around ARCI MOVIE bunch of local film makers, producers and teachers built up a film school in one of the most difficult suburbs of Naples. Unemployment, municipal corruption, and the presence of organized crime in the neighborhood makes daily life difficult, and kids are at risk of getting involved in criminal activity.
So ARCI MOVIE became a reference for the neighborhood's families, and some of the kids found their way as professionals in the film industry. A lot of internationally acclaimed film directors and actors are part of the story, such as Ken Loach, Mario Martone, Toni Servillo and many more.

The soundtrack, commissioned by PARALLELO 41 PRODUZIONI to Marco Cappelli, was composed and recorded in NYC in March 2021, during pandemic lockdown. It is performed by Marco Cappelli (guitar), Austin White (double bass) and Dave Miller (drums).
ARCIMUSIC is here reissued digitally for the first time.
